About Mrs. Johnson

Mrs. Johnson has taught English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science to students in grades 5-8 during her time as a teacher. She taught in Muskegon, Michigan for three years, and has called West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science home for the past two years. She is passionate about bringing a love of reading to all of her students, and each student spends at least 20 minutes every day reading silently at his or her current reading level. Working in conjunction with the reading specialist, our 5th and 6th graders set and work toward a variety of reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar goals.
When Mrs. Johnson is not working, she spends time at home with her husband, three children, and cat named Max. Mrs. Johnson loves reading books, watching movies, and having adventures with family and friends!
